The City of Windsor Waste Water project combines various communication methods to provide access to data from two pollution control plants located throughout Windsor ON.  Using public telephone lines to communicate between the Telemetry System, the West Windsor Pollution Control Plant, and the Little River Pollution Control Plant, operators access and view real-time data at each location.  Due to the success of their original systems, officials for the City of Windsor have continually made use of our continuing support and upgrade services.

The large communication system provides a backbone for the Windsor Waste Water system.  With so many devices in place, ESAC carefully constructed a system to respond to the needs of operators including redundancy to ensure that data is always available.  At any point, operators can view the status of each device to feel confident in the accuracy of their readings. Using the Cimplicity SCADA software package, ESAC has developed screens to make it simple for operators to control the entire plant.  Management wanted to ensure that operators do not have to be computer experts to operate the pollution control plants.  The operators at each location spend their time doing what they are best at.
