Sequence of Events Recorder
Providing the comfort of knowing what happened and when.

Your integrated SCADA system ensures the information you need to operate your system.  ESAC provides an extra degree of protection from liability, and more information for preventative actions in the future.  The Sequence of Events Recorder interacts with your SCADA software to log all signals from devices in the field with 1 millisecond accuracy based on GPS Irig-B time synchronization.  Should the unexpected happen, your operators will be able to easily assess the problem with a complete list of events that occurred.  With more information, you will be able to solve your problems and improve your operation to avoid costly events in the future.

  • Event Recorder - The Event Recorder application is capable of logging all signals received from multiple devices in the field.  The application runs in the background of your SCADA system, so that operators will never have to concern themselves with the event collection.  An associated timestamp with each event gives you more information for troubleshooting.

  • Event Viewer - ESAC provides a graphical application for viewing the signals collected by the event recorder.  A simple chart format is displayed including the time & date of the event, the device initiating the event, and the description of the event.  Your operators will be able to quickly look at the list of recent events and make conclusions about the basis of the problem.  In such times, quick and accurate judgements can save you money.

  • Event Filtering - For more intense troubleshooting, the S.E.R. software package is able to filter events.  Your operators may need to see all events from a particular device or between certain periods of time.  The ability to filter within the event viewer software allows operators to spend their time running and improving your system, not searching for data.

  • Event Exporting - In some circumstances, it is beneficial for operators to distribute the event sequences to each other and to management.  The event viewer is capable of exporting selected messages to a portable format viewable with Microsoft Excel, thereby ensuring that future circumstances cannot be attributed to a lack of available information.
